What's worth seeing in Broc?

Broc is a Swiss village in the canton of Fribourg, at the foot of the Fribourg Alps, located at an altitude of 710 m above sea level. Interestingly, the area of present-day Broc was already inhabited in the Bronze Age. Two burials were discovered during the construction of a road in 1874, found in the ruins of the Montsalvens fortress and dating from 2000–1500 BC. Another two graves dating from 1500–1250 BC were discovered during the construction of the railway line in 1911 at the foot of the Dent de Broc mountain. The parish in the village of Broc is one of the oldest in the region. One important fact cannot go unmentioned: this is the home of the Cailler–Nestlé chocolate factory, which produces 10 per cent of Switzerland's chocolate — that is, 60 tonnes per day. The production of this cocoa delight has been taking place here for more than two hundred years, and for the last forty of those, visitors have been able to see the process with their own eyes in the museum — and more besides, as tasting sessions also await. The chocolate factory in Broc was founded in 1819 and was the first in the world. This picturesque village is part of the Swiss Cheese and Chocolate Route, a key point of which is La Maison du Gruyère — the place after which the delicious and famous Swiss cheese takes its name.
