High-speed rail
High Speed Trains (TGVs) are a transport system in which trains reach speeds of over 300 km/h. In Europe, the first trains travelling at this speed were built in France in the 1980s under the name TGV. Nowadays, many European countries have modern multiple units for high-speed rail travel.
The most popular high-speed railways in Europe include: TGV, Eurostar, AVE, ICE (Inter City Express).
