Is there a check-in on trains?
Check-in is compulsory on some routes.
This applies in particular to trains on international routes such as the Eurostar. Passengers travelling on this train must check in at the train station at least 30 minutes before departure. Travellers with Business Premier class tickets may check-in no later than 10 minutes before departure. The passenger will be informed of the need to check-in earlier in the ticket purchase documents.
Check-in also applies on Spanish AVE trains - ticket and passport control takes place at the station, before boarding the train. Check-in opens 30 minutes before departure and closes 2 minutes before departure.
Please note that on many trains the doors close two minutes before departure, so travellers should arrive at the station early.
