The tour starts from the railway station at 1 Ebersa St. Although it is primarily the starting point of your trip, it is worth noting the characteristic architecture of the station building blended into the mountainous surroundings. In the interwar period, the station was one of the busiest in Malopolska, as Krynica-Zdrój was a popular holiday destination for Polish elites and artists. 2.1 The Promenade Krynica-Zdrój

This is the heart of the spa, where at your fingertips you have cafes, shops with regional souvenirs and Krynica's most important monuments, such as the Main Pump Room, the Old Spa House or elegant villas from the 19th and 20th centuries. Walking along the promenade, you will listen to the pleasant hum of fountains, taste local delicacies and soak up the peaceful atmosphere of the mountain resort. In the past, the promenade was walked by, among others, Henryk Sienkiewicz, Józef Piłsudski and prominent artists and politicians who came to the "waters" for treatment. 2.2 The Main Pump Room in Krynica Zdrój

It is an iconic place, known from postcards. The characteristic glass facade and interior full of vegetation create a unique atmosphere of a pump room designed in the modernist style. Here you can taste the therapeutic mineral waters, among which is the famous Zuber, a water with very strong properties. Beware, to say that its taste is quite specific is to say nothing at all! In the past, there was also a brine graduation tower in the building of the pump room, thanks to which you could inhale the healthy aerosols without going to the seaside. The Nikifor Museum in Villa Romanówka is a place dedicated to one of Poland's most outstanding primitivists (self-taught painters). Original paintings, photographs and memorabilia allow visitors to better understand the artistic soul of Nikifor Krynicki, who was strongly attached to the town. During his lifetime, the underestimated and poverty-stricken artist often painted on cardboard, cigarette packs or random scraps of paper. Today, Nikifor's paintings can be found in prestigious museums and galleries, including those in Paris, New York and London, and fetch high prices at auction. The interiors of Villa Romanówka delight with their cosy atmosphere, and the collection itself inspires one to discover the beauty hidden in simplicity. 2.4 Monument to the "Defenders-Conquerors"

This monumental memorial attracts attention not only with its imposing bulk, but above all with the history of courage it commemorates. It was erected to honour soldiers who fought for the freedom and independence of the region during World War II. During the occupation, Krynica-Zdrój was transformed by the German authorities into a resort for Wehrmacht convalescents and Hitlerjugend youth, making the resistance even more heroic. The monument was designed by Bronislaw Chromy, one of Poland's most prominent sculptors, known, among other things, for his design of... the Wawel Dragon in Cracow. The Toy Museum - a place full of magic, nostalgia and positive energy! This charming museum will take you to the world of old toys: porcelain dolls, teddy bears, lead soldiers, wooden blocks and tin cars. The exhibits collected in the museum are the result of the passion and patience of collectors who have been collecting unique, often very rare toys for years. You'll see items here that remember as far back as the 19th century, each telling a remarkable story of children's games from decades ago. 2.6 Spa Park

The Spa Park in Krynica-Zdrój is one of the oldest and most beautiful parks in Polish spas. In the lower part of the park you can admire charming ponds as well as fountains and the Wanda gazebo, which add to the place's unique atmosphere. 2.7 Park Hill

It is worth taking some time to get here as it offers a picturesque panorama of the entire Krynica-Zdrój and surrounding ranges. You can also get to the Parkowa Mountain (742 m above sea level) by train - it is the first funicular in Poland which still carries tourists. The top station is a great place to take souvenir photos. Numerous non-native species such as Douglas fir, Caucasian fir, Canadian Christmas tree, Japanese chiffchaff and dune pine grow on the mountain. If you like active relaxation, you will enjoy descending from the Park Mountain on one of the many walking paths and returning along the promenade tothe📍Railway station.
