London to Paris Eurostar train timetable
St Pancrass Station is the Eurostar departure point from London. It is a huge historic station that is the hub of national and international rail services. With its interior and the volume of traffic it is more like an airport, but :
thanks to this guide, you certainly won't get lost!
- Enter the spacious hall of St Pancras station and head to the international departures section, where the Eurostar zone is located. The Eurostar train departs from a separate platform which people without a valid travel ticket are not allowed on. So it's worth making sure you have them with you, if you don't you can print them out from the vending machines at the station. You will need your voucher, booking number and the credit card you used to pay for the ticket.
- We then proceed to the check-in area opposite. Check-in is similar to that at the airport, but much quicker and more efficient. First your luggage is scanned, then you go through the security gates and finally passport/ID card control takes place. You need to be at least 30 minutes before the train departs in order to complete the entire process. 30 minutes before departure (1st and 2nd class).
- After check-in, travellers wait in the comfortable Eurostar departure lounge to be informed from which platform the train will depart.
- You ascend to the platform via an escalator, directly from the waiting room; it takes no more than a minute. We then look for the carriage number from our ticket. The numbers are painted on the pavement in front of each of the train entrances. So we can easily find the right seat.
- Now it's time to relax!
