Another aspect is the numerous cafés, pubs, museums and music and theatre festivals offering a varied cultural programme. The main railway station is located in the very centre of the city. It takes 10 minutes to get from there to the Main Market Square, where it is worth starting your sightseeing. Poland's capital city, built almost from scratch after the Second World War. Today, it impresses with its Old Town, the renovated Royal Castle, the post-socialist character of its spacious streets, full of fashionable galleries and pubs, and modern skyscrapers, worthy of European metropolises. It is worth going up to the top floor of the Palace of Culture and Science to see the panorama of the city stretching over the Vistula River. At its foot, in the heart of Warsaw, is the most important railway station in Poland - Dworzec Centralny (Central Station). From there, you can get to Wilanów, the Kampinos Forest and the Polish Lake District, i.e. Masuria - places ideal for weekend trips out of town.
