Modern trains for travel comfort
Italo trains are some of the most modern high-speed trainsets in Europe. The carrier's fleet is made up of two types of multiple unit: Alstom AGV (ETR 575), in service since 2011, and the newer Italo EVO units (ETR 675), a development of the same technology. Both models reach speeds of up to 300 km/h and are distinguished by their lightweight construction, distributed drive and active damping systems, resulting in a quiet and extremely smooth ride.
The interiors are designed with comfort in mind, even during long journeys. Ergonomic, wide seats with individual electrical sockets, tables and access to free Wi-Fi are standard. The spacious carriages also offer well-lit work and rest areas, while large panoramic windows allow you to enjoy the picturesque landscape. Three classes of comfort - choose a journey to suit you
On Italo trains, passengers can choose from three classes: Smart, Prima Business and Club Executive . Each offers a high standard, varying in the range of services and level of comfort.
Smart Class
Smart is an economy class with comfortable reclining leather seats with footrests, individual electrical sockets and access to free Wi-Fi. Vending machines with drinks and snacks are available on board. There is a baggage size limit in Smart Class (up to 75x53x30 cm) - but the number of pieces is not limited.
Prima Business Class
Prima Business provides more space and privacy. Passengers travel in wider seats with armrests, receive refreshments served to their seat and benefit from fast boarding thanks to the Fast Track Entry service. There are no baggage size restrictions on Prima Business.
Club Executive Class
Club Executive is a premium class with spacious seats, on-board service, access to the Italo Club Lounge, Fast Track Entry option and the option to use the Salotto compartment (a space designed for business meetings). This is ideal for business travellers or those who value maximum comfort.

When travelling on Italo trains, you can not only reach your destination quickly and comfortably, but also savour selected Italian flavours. In Club Executive class , the on-board service offers a wide range of snacks, baked goods and drinks - from aromatic espresso to prosecco and light lunch dishes. Everything is served directly to the seat, taking into account the time of day and the passenger's individual preferences. In Prima Business Class , complimentary coffee, tea and sweet and savoury snacks are served as soon as the journey begins. For passengers in other classes, there are vending machines located in selected carriages - offering Italian sweets, drinks and coffee. In this way, every traveller, regardless of the class chosen, can enjoy Italian flavour and comfort during the journey.
The Italo Live portal - entertainment at your fingertips
Thanks to free Wi-Fi, every passenger can use the Italo Live portal , which offers an extensive library of films, series, music, podcasts, e-books and current news. All you have to do is connect to the network, enter your email address and start using the platform. You will find both Italian and international film productions, five music stations, online press and games.
Safety and hygiene on board Italo
Italo attaches great importance to ensuring safe travel conditions - both technically and sanitary. All trains are equipped with state-of-the-art air filtration systems with HEPA filters , which eliminate pollutants, allergens and microorganisms, ensuring a full air change every 3 minutes. Disinfectant dispensers are available in all carriages and premium passengers are additionally provided with antibacterial wipes. Italo's cabin crew receive regular training in emergency procedures. Monitoring of common areas and strict housekeeping rules further enhance the feeling of safety throughout the journey.
