If someone really cares about time and comfort, they can take advantage of the superfast trains that operate between major cities. They reach speeds of up to 300 km/h. The infrastructure and technology will allow them to reach up to 400 km/h in the future. The types of high-speed trains are Frecciarossa, Frecciabianca and Frecciargento. They differ in speed and technology, although their routes intersect. When looking for connections in the north of Italy, it is very possible to see all of them on the timetable.

Frecciargento trains

Frecciargento are trains that reach speeds of up to 250 km/h. They run from Venice and Verona to Rome, Naples, Bari and Reggio di Calabria. In the search results, you can also sort Frecciargento connections by departure time to quickly find the most convenient train. They are trains that run on shorter routes than the Frecciarossa trains. The journey is made on both high-speed trains and traditional trains. Frecciargento trains are a good choice for many travellers if comfort and time are the determinants of the journey. Passengers can choose to travel in first or second class. Each of the Frecciargento trains has air conditioning and power sockets. There is a toilet in every carriage (two in 1st class carriages). On the Rome-Venice routes, the trainsets are equipped with LCD touch screens that keep the passenger up to date with the most important information on offers and services.
