Campania Express - train from Naples to Sorrento
The Campania Express is a train service run by Italian operator EAV (Ente Autonomo Volturno) that runs between Naples and Sorrento, stopping only at a few of the region's most important tourist spots. Unlike the daily, standard and crowded local Circumvesuviana line, Campania Express trains offer a higher standard of travel - air conditioning, luggage space and professional service.
Campania Express is the ideal option for tourists who want to use public transport but prefer to avoid inconvenience, stress or crowds. The trains of this line stop at the most attractive places in the region, where you can change to other trains going towards other interesting attractions.
Thanks to fewer stops, the journey is not only quicker, but also quieter - appreciated by tourists who want to visit Pompeii in one day and catch the sunset in Sorrento. The entire route takes about 70-75 minutes and trains run several times a day, mainly during the tourist season (spring to autumn).
Comfort and facilities on board
The Campania Express is a train designed for the comfort and peace of mind of travellers. Each train is equipped with air-conditioning, ergonomic numbered seats and separate areas for luggage and prams. The interior is bright and spacious, and large panoramic windows allow you to enjoy exceptional views of the Gulf of Naples and the surrounding hills.
The journey takes place in comfort - unlike the regular Circumvesuviana trains, on the Campania Express all passengers are assigned seats and the number of travellers is limited to the available seats. As a result, there is a relaxed, touristic atmosphere on board, without crowding or rushing. This is ideal for those who want to enjoy the journey and the Campania countryside in complete comfort, especially during the summer when the region receives the most tourists.
