What attractions await children?

Bałtów Tourist Complex

You can visit the Bałtów Tourist Complex located in the village of Bałtów, where realistically made models of dinosaurs, real wild animals and a Jurassic museum await you.

The facility is open:

on Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00 to 19:00

and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 19:00.

A normal ticket costs PLN 34 and a discounted ticket costs PLN 28.

How to get here? The most convenient way: by train to Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, and from there by bus to Bałtów in just 18 minutes.

The Energy Centre of Science and the Kielce Rope Park

While in Kielce, it is worth visiting the Energy Science Centre at 6 Olszewskiego Street (3 km from the railway station) or the Kielce Rope Park at 40 Szczepaniak Street (about 3.5 km from the station). There are also several swimming pools in the city (Delfin, Foka, Jurajska, Mors, Orka) or the aquapark Baseny Tropikalne.

Sabat Krajno - Amusement Park

A must-see on your itinerary should also be Sabat Krajno - an amusement and miniature park with a parrot house and a funfair, open from Monday to Sunday from 10:00 to 16:00. The facility can be found at: Krajno Zagórze 43c. Prices? A concessionary ticket to the Avenue of Miniatures Wonderful World costs 39 zloty, while a normal ticket costs 45 zloty. You can also buy family tickets, e.g. 2+2 for 140 zł.

And if you fancy skating, you can do so in Kielce, at the Telegraf ice rink at 6 Narciarska Street, open Monday to Friday from 14:30-21:30 and at weekends from 10:00-21:30. The Stadion ice rink at 365 Na Stadion Avenue also operates during the same hours.

Holy Cross

How to get to Lysá hora? The easiest way to get there from Kielce is to take a city bus or a private minibus leaving from the bus station in Kielce. Such a journey will take about 40 minutes. Paradise Cave

The Paradise Cave is one of the greatest gems of the Świętokrzyskie region and, not without reason, a frequent destination during winter holidays. Located not far from Kielce (only 45 minutes away), it impresses with its unique dripstone formations, which resemble a true work of art by Mother Nature herself. A visit to the Paradise Cave is an opportunity to admire stalactites, stalagmites and stalagnates, and to learn fascinating facts about the geological history of the region. The winter scenery all around adds to its charm, and the temperature inside remains constant, making it an ideal place to visit on colder days.

Tours of the Paradise Cave take place in groups with a guide, who talks about the processes of formation of these remarkable rock formations and the archaeological discoveries made inside. The Paradise Cave is located about 3 km east of the centre of Chęciny and 12 km southwest of Kielce. If you are staying in Chęciny, you can even get there on foot in less than 45 minutes. Choosing public transport from Kielce, use city bus no. 31. Travelling by car from the S7 route, take the exit in the direction of Kielce South and continue along road no. 762. Free parking awaits you on site, making it much easier to plan your trip.The site, during the winter holidays, is open from 09:00 - 16:00 and the entrance ticket costs 37 PLN.

Museum of Toys and Play in Kielce

The Museum of Toys and Play in Kielce is a place that takes visitors to the magical world of childhood, regardless of age. It is the oldest and largest facility of its kind in Poland, located in a historic 19th century building of the former market halls at 2 Wolności Square. On an area of over 600 square metres , thousands of exhibits are presented, including historical toys from the 18th and 19th centuries, dolls from all over the world, as well as models of cars, planes and ships. The museum also organises workshops and museum lessons to develop creativity and deepen knowledge of the history of toys.

The Museum of Toys and Play in Kielce is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 08:00 to 16:00, offering tickets at prices of:

How to get to the Museum? It is easy to get to Kielce by train, conveniently buying a ticket in the PolishTrains service. You can get from the railway station to your destination located at 2 Wolności Square by taking public transport line 33 and getting off at the Seminaryjska / Jana Pawła II stop.
