Bielsko-Biała - nature break at its best

Do you know Bolek and Lolek? These brothers, the most recognisable in Poland, come from Bielsko-Biała, a picturesque town at the foot of the Silesian Beskid, which is a perfect place for a nature break with children. Awaiting you here is Szyndzielnia, a peak just over 1,000 metres above sea level, which you can reach on foot from Kamienna or by cable car, all the while admiring the beautiful panorama of the city. At the summit, you can climb the viewing tower, continuing to admire nature and mountain views of the Beskid Mały, Silesian and Żywiec Beskids, as well as Babia Góra, Pilsko and the Tatra Mountains.

From Szyndzielnia, it is best to set off on a hike along the red trail to Klimczok, one of the highest peaks in the Silesian Beskid, to rest in the hostel and eat something tasty (preferably traditional żurek!).

If your children like outdoor activities, during the nature break you should also go for a family walk in the Wapienica Valley - this picturesque place offers beautiful views, great hiking trails and waterfalls.

Krynica Zdrój - mountain adventure for the whole family

You certainly know Krynica Zdrój well as a spa town surrounded by beautiful forests and mountains. However, you must know that it also provides many attractions for families with children! First of all, it is worth seeing Jaworzyna Krynicka, to the top of which you can go either on foot or by a modern gondola lift, admiring the breathtaking views - such a journey will surely be to the liking of little ones! At the top of Jaworzyna Krynicka, there is an observation tower built in the form of a wooden path in the treetops, which, thanks to information boards, provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about the local nature.

Another attraction within the nature break in Krynica Zdrój can undoubtedly be the Parkowa Mountain, which can also be reached by a funicular - one of the oldest in Poland (in operation since 1937!). At the top of the mountain, in addition to viewpoints and benches, there are gravity slides- perfect attractions for young and old alike.

And if both you and your children love hiking through charming forests and valleys, there are many hiking trails in the area - including ones to Jaworzyna Krynicka and Hala Łabowska. When planning such an outing, just check the difficulty level of the route to make sure your children can cope. A walk along the trail of Lemko Orthodox churches will also be a unique adventure, giving you the opportunity to wander through the villages of the Beskid Sądecki and Niski, while educating yourself about the rich history and culture of the Lemkos living in this area.

Szklarska Poreba - in the heart of two mountain ranges

Want to show your kids what's wonderful about walking in the mountains? Take them on a nature break to Szklarska Poręba! This town lies at the meeting point of two mountain ranges - the Karkonosze and the Jizera Mountains - so you'll find easy and short trails to suit the little ones.

If you are here for the first time, we suggest you go first of all to the Kamieńczyk Waterfall, which delights both adults and children. You can tempt the little ones to take a walk here as several scenes for The Chronicles of Narnia were filmed here! A picturesque gorge leads to the waterfall, and the attraction itself creates a spectacular view, perfect for souvenir family photos.

During a nature break in Szklarska Poręba, a trip to Szrenica is also worthwhile - and here, too, we can go on foot or take a chairlift. There are breathtaking views from the top, and the walking trails are ideal for small hikers as they stay at a similar height. From Szrenica, you can continue to the Snowy Cauldrons, unique glacial rock pits - the route takes just 1.5 hours and is free of major inclines.

Have you spent the first day of your nature break in Szklarska Poręba in the Giant Mountains? On the second day, head to the Jizerské Mountains along the easy trail starting at the Death Turn and leading to Wysoki Kamień. It will be another opportunity to spend an active day, see interesting rocks along the forest path and climb to the viewpoint to admire the panorama of the Karkonosze, the Rudawy Janowickie, the Izerskie and the Kaczawskie Mountains.
