Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Cathedral Basilica)

The absolute dominant feature of Włocławek's Old Town. The Gothic basilica, consecrated in 1411, is one of the most beautiful examples of sacred architecture in the region. It is situated on a hill at 7 Prymas Stanisław Karnkowskiego Street - a mere 10-15 minute walk from the railway station.

Inside, among others, are stained glass windows from the 14th century, the tombstone of Bishop Piotr of Bnin, a wooden statue of the Virgin Mary from the early 15th century and a Gothic painting depicting the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary by John the Great from around 1480. St. Vitalis Church

The Ethnographic Museum

The Ethnographic Museum is a branch of the Kuyavia and Dobrinland Museum. Located at 6 Marszałek Piłsudski Boulevard, in a historic granary from the mid-19th century, it consists of three storeys with exhibition halls. They present the peasant culture of Kujawy and Dobrzyń Land from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries - including traditional costumes, furniture and tools. The museum organises temporary exhibitions, workshops and open-air events.

Kulin Nature Reserve - the unique diptam "Burning Bush of Moses"

A floristic forest reserve extending over 50 hectares on the right bank of the Vistula River escarpment is a natural gem of Włocławek. Here you will find extraordinary steppe vegetation, including, among others, the ash-leaf diptam (known as the "burning bush of Moses"), as well as John's holly, multifloral anemone and violet mullein. You can reach it in an hour on a leisurely walk or by bike. You can also take public transport (e.g. bus no. 1 or 9).

Hell Mountain lookout tower and World War II bunkers

On the Piekielna Góra hill (99.4 m above sea level - one of the steepest in the area), there is an impressive steel and wooden observation tower (approx. 30 m high), which offers a panoramic view of the Gostynin-Włocław Landscape Park and the surrounding lakes. Right next to it are the remains of German World War II shelters. An ideal route for both walking and cycling - MTB enthusiasts describe it as one of the most interesting in the area!

Marszałek Piłsudski Boulevards on the Vistula River

A representative promenade along the left bank of the Vistula, stretching from the Bishop's Palace to the bridge over the Zgłowiączka River. It is here that festivals, concerts on a floating stage and numerous outdoor events take place. Additional attractions? Playgrounds, outdoor gyms, viewing terraces (13 observation points), benches, bicycle stands. On one of the terraces, the coat of arms of Włocławek has been built in, along with the distances to the largest cities in the world. The largest rope park in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, located at Kazimierza Wielkiego Avenue. It has 6 routes of varying difficulty - from easy to demanding. A safe belay system means that even younger participants can feel confident climbing.

Park on Słodów

Park na Słodowie on Wysoka Street is a good choice - it is a space that effectively encourages youngsters to be active outdoors. Aquapark Jutrzenka

Are you interested in recreational attractions? Włocławek, but also the surrounding area, has plenty to offer! One example is Aquapark Jutrzenka. It is part of the Jutrzenka Medical SPA complex, located directly in a pine forest, at Brzozowa 1 in Wieniec-Zdrój. The place is located about 6 km from Włocławek railway station and can be easily reached by public transport, e.g. bus No. 11 (the journey takes only 16 minutes). Plenty of attractions await at the facility, including a leisure pool with a rushing river, geysers, a water mushroom and hydromassage benches, as well as as as many as 8 jacuzzis. There is also a bowling alley, billiards, table tennis and karaoke, which particularly attracts youngsters.
