We start our journey by getting offat📍Lodz Fabryczna station, which is the gateway to the city. This station was a key point in the industrial development of Łódź - it enabled the rapid transport of goods and workers. Today it is not just a station, it is a piece of history written in bricks and steel. From here it's only a few minutes' walk to the first attraction📍 EC1 - City Kultury⤵️

2.1 EC1 - City of Culture

This unique complex is housed in a historic power station dating back to 1907. The City of Culture opened in 2018 and was one of the largest revitalisation projects in Poland. Fans of pop culture and science will be delighted! In addition to a number of interactive exhibitions, you will also find the Planetarium and the Centre for Comics and Interactive Narration. A special zone has been prepared for the youngest visitors - the Street of Elements. This is 3 floors and 1,500 m2 of experiments and movement activities. After visiting the centre, walking down Piotrkowska Street you will pass the Monument to the Three Fabricants - known as the kings of Polish cotton. From here it's not far to the📍 Museum of Light ⤵️.

2.2 Museum of Light
The Museum of Light in Lodz is one of the most unusual attractions in the city. Here light, shadow and colour play a central role, and interactive installations will allow you to create your own light compositions, manipulate reflections and play with optical illusions. In 10 different rooms you will learn about different aspects of light technology, its history and its impact on different areas of life. What else. 3D mapping demonstrations and a 90s games corner are sure to interest not only younger visitors. 2.3 The Rose Passage

Hidden in the courtyard of a tenement house in Piotrkowska Street is an extraordinary art installation that touches hearts. It was created by Joanna Rajkowska as a tribute to her daughter Róża, who was struggling with a severe eye disease. By covering all surfaces - walls, doors, windows - with small mirrors, the passage turns into a kaleidoscope of light and reflections. The mirror fragments symbolise the winding and complex ways of seeing the world - just as in illness. The installation combines art with a message of healing and hope, which makes a really powerful impression. After a moment of reflection, we move from the intimate space of the courtyard towards the impressive Manufaktura i📍Museumof Art in the MS2 ⤵️

2.4 The Art Museum at MS2

The museum is located in an unusual place, within the unique Manufaktura cultural and entertainment complex. These are the revitalised buildings of the former factory of Izrael Poznański - one of the three "kings of cotton". And moving on to the Museum - the famous Neoplastic Hall is worth a visit here. Designed in 1948 by Władysław Strzemiński, a leading Polish avant-garde artist, it is a space that is a work of art in itself, harmoniously combining painting, architecture and sculpture. The colourful planes and dividing lines on the walls and ceilings harmonise with the works of art on display. While in the Manufaktura, it is worth dropping in at least for a moment to the Factory Museum. Here you will learn about the textile production processes and the history of Poznański's factory, which was the centre of industrial life in 19th-century Łódź. Fast forward to the future at the📍Centrum ofScience Experymentarium ⤵️.

2.5 Experymentarium Science Centre
It is a great place to expand your knowledge of the world and science in an attractive way. There is something for everyone in the Experymentarium. 2.6 Biedermann Palace

This Neo-Renaissance residence of Alfred Biedermann is a true gem of Lodz architecture and a reminder of the period of prosperity. It perfectly reflects the sumptuous life of Lodz's elite in the 19th century. Today, the palace belongs to the University of Lodz and serves as a representative space for conferences and cultural events. The building has retained many original elements, which is why it has sometimes been the backdrop of film productions. After an intensive sightseeing tour, it's time to take a breather and relax among nature in 📍ParkHelenów ⤵️.

2.7 Helenów Park
It is hard to believe that this picturesque park was created thanks to... a brewery. The Anstadt family, who founded a brewery on the Łódka River, decided to create a unique place for relaxation. In a short period of time, the Berlin studio transformed the marshy area into a striking garden decorated with splendour. Among the many attractions were ponds with a boat landing, a petting zoo with bears and a chimpanzee, a volcanic lava cave, a concert shell, a cycling track, tennis courts and a playing field. Interestingly, back in the 19th century, the park was illuminated by electric lamps - a real novelty in those days! After a short rest, we head towards the train station and go to see the last point of the tour -📍TheatreWielki⤵️.
🕚 14 min 🚶1 km
2.8 Grand Theatre
The building itself is impressive! With its monumental mass, arcaded façade and massive pillars, it is the second largest opera house in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. The theatre specialises in staging operas and ballets, as well as operettas and musicals. It is one of the first establishments in Poland to create a Digital Museum. Over 12,000 photographs, more than 300 posters and placards and more than 800 costumes can be seen there in a 3D version.
