How and where can you order WARS food on Pendolino and WARS food on Intercity?

Want to order a meal? Find out where the dining car is - you can usually find out where it is already on the platform**(it is marked with a symbol of crossed cutlery on the outside of the car**). Information also appears during train announcements via a megaphone at the station and in announcements made by the train staff. You can also find out this information when you book your journey online. When you purchase your ticket, simply browse the seat map, where you will find the layout of the carriages and a legend with a description, which will allow you to check the location of the dining car.

To eat one of the dishes from the WARS menu, simply go to the dining carriage, where you will eat your meal at specially designated tables. Is the WARS carriage at the other end of the train? Or would you prefer to dine in your seat? Use the mWARS mobile app and conveniently order food and drinks online - WARS staff will bring your order to the carriage you are in. Importantly, the app only works on selected trains and you will not order alcohol to your seat via the app. You can only consume alcoholic beverages available on the menu in the dining car.

Whether you go to the restaurant carriage or order your meal through the app, you will pay for everything in cash or with a payment card.

mWars on Pendolino, Intercity - how to use the app?

Using the mWars app is extremely easy, just remember to download it before you travel so you can order your meal quickly and conveniently. Already have the app on your phone? Only a few simple steps separate you from your first order.

Wars on the train - where does the name come from, what does it mean?

Did you know that WARS is one of the iconic brands that has been popular for years? The WARS restaurant carriage was already available during the communist era, and its history dates back to 1948, when a state-owned train catering company was established.

The name WARS is an abbreviation for Restaurant and Sleeping Carriages, so the company's activities also include sleeping cars. WARS S.A. operates:

  • 20 Express InterCity Premium trainsets

  • 35 restaurant cars

  • 82 bar wagons

  • 42 sleeping and berth carriages

What's more, it also has several restaurants in the Warsaw area, where it serves its delicious dishes.

Wars on Pendolino and Intercity trains

You already know that there is a restaurant carriage on the train you are travelling in, but you are still looking for the information "WARS opening hours"? Have you been unable to find them online? We're already rushing with the answer! It all really depends on the specific train and its route. However, during the day, as long as the catering car is not disconnected from the train for a certain section, it remains open for passengers at all times. The situation is different on overnight journeys; WARS cars are often closed between midnight and 5am.
