Free ticket or attractive discounts

It has not been known for a long time that travelling costs money, especially travelling with children. That is why it is rail travel that is particularly economical. Children up to the age of 4 ride trains for free. However, it is important to generate a ticket with a 100% discount. You can find such a discount on our website by developing more discounts in the "Passengers/Reliefs" section.

These are not all the promotions you can enjoy when travelling as a family:

• Large Family Card - entitles you to an additional 30% discount (in addition to the statutory 37% discount) on tickets purchased. It can be used if at least two card holders travel together;
• Family Ticket - for a group of 2-5 people, including at least one child under 16 years of age. In this case, each person travelling together will receive a discount of 30%.

Facilities for families with children on trains

To make the journey as comfortable as possible for both child and parent, many trains have special compartments for families with children. So if you are planning a trip, it is worth buying your ticket in advance, as these seats sell out very quickly.

On IC and EIP trains, you will find baby changing facilities for small children. Parents can also carry a pram for free - no folding required. On many trains, WARS offers a children's menu and every parent can brew a bottle for milk or juice free of charge. Benefits of travelling by train with children:

• the child does not have to be strapped in, he or she has total freedom, hence no need for stops to stretch the legs, which is the case when travelling by car
• when the child wants to sleep and cannot fall asleep on his/her own, there is the option of cuddling/carrying the child
• the option of using the toilet (especially in winter when you have to dress them and take them out of the car). Comfortable conditions on modern trains make travelling with a child a pleasure for both children and parents.
