For all these trains, the departure station is Warszawa Wschodnia and the destination station is Wien Hbf, Wien Westbahnhof or München Hbf (Munich, Germany). The journey time on this route is from approximately 7 hours and 50 minutes (for EC 105 Polonia).

The first train of the day is EC 105 Polonia, which departs from Warsaw East before 6am. This is followed by EC 109 Sobieski which starts at 13:44. The last two services are EuroNight (EN) trainsets departing at 19:39.

The night trains take slightly longer, but arrive in Vienna before 5:50am. This is therefore the ideal choice if you don't want to lose a day's journey and are already exploring the city from the early hours of the morning.

Route Warsaw Vienna

Route based on the EC 109 Sobieski service between Warsaw East and Wien Westbahnhof:

On the Krakow-Vienna route, the train runs four times a day. As the current timetable shows, the section is served by trainsets:

• EC 103 Danubius between Kraków Główny and Wien Hbf,

• EC 107 Porta Moravica from Przemyśl Główny to Graz Hbf,

• EN 407 Chopin for Warsaw East - München Hbf,

• EN 60407 Chopin between Warsaw East and München Hbf.

For EC 103 Danubius, the journey time on this route is approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes. In contrast, EC 107 Porta Moravica takes 40 minutes longer and EuroNight trains take 82 minutes longer. These differences are due to the route and the length of stops at intermediate stations. For example:

• EC 103 Danubius passes through Oświęcim - Czechowice - Zebrzydowice - Bohumin - Ostrava - Přerov - Hodonín - Břeclav,

• EC 107 Porta Moravica, on the other hand, has a similar route, but additionally stops on the section Żory - Rybnik - Wodzisław Śląski - Chałupki.

EC 103 Danubius is the first connection of the day, departing from Cracow at 6:30 am and allowing you to reach Austria before noon. Then EC 107 Porta Moravica starts after 13:50, making it as late as 20 in the evening in Vienna. On the other hand, the EuroNight trains from Cracow to Vienna are the same trainsets that start in Warsaw.

Route Kraków-Vienna

The route is based on the EC 107 Porta Moravica service between Przemyśl Główny and Graz Hbf:

• Journey time: 5 hr 59 min

• Departure from Kraków Główny: 13:50

• Arrival in Vienna: 19:49

The final station, however, is Graz Hbf in Austria, where the train arrives at 22:33.

The first train of the day is EC 101 Moravia, which departs Katowice before 5am. Then EC 105 Polonia starts from the Silesian capital before 9 a.m. And EC 109 Sobieski starts this route before 5 p.m.

Route Katowice Vienna

Route based on the EC 101 Moravia service between Katowice and Wien Hbf:

For this train, the starting station is Wrocław Główny and the terminating station is Wien Hbf / Vienna Główny. The journey time, on the other hand, is approximately 5 hours and 20 minutes.

Is the journey from Wrocław to Vienna a suggestion for a weekend trip? The services run daily even on weekends, so if you board the EC 203 Danubius train on Saturday morning, you will arrive in Vienna before 12:00 p.m. You can return on Sunday. EC 102 Danubius departs Vienna at 16:10 and finishes in Wrocław at 21:24.

On the Rzeszów-Vienna section, the train passes once a day. The route is served by train EC 107 Porta Moravica. The journey takes approximately 7 hours and 31 minutes.

The exact route for EC 107 Porta Moravica is described above for the Kraków-Vienna connection. The train passes through Rzeszów Główny (departure at 12:18) - Tarnów - Kraków - Oświęcim - Czechowice-Dziedzice - Zebrzydowice - Bohumín - Ostrava - Přerov - Hodonín - Břeclav - Wien Hbf (arrival 19:49).

There is currently no direct train on the Gdynia-Vienna route. When travelling to Vienna, it is best to use a connecting train, for example in West Warsaw or Wrocław.

Gdynia Vienna route

Route Gdynia Vienna train with a change of trains:

• Journey time: 13 hrs 59 mins

• Departure from Gdynia Główna: 16:26

• Arrival in Vienna: 5:25

There are two trains to be used on this route:

• First: EIP 5104 between Gdynia Główna and Warsaw West.

• Change place - Warszawa Zachodnia station (arrival approx. 19:48)

• Second: EN 407 Chopin between Warszawa Wschodnia and München Hbf (departure from Warszawa Zachodnia at 20:06)

• Waiting time for the change in Warszawa Zachodnia approx. 18 minutes

There are no direct trains from Poznań to Vienna. An alternative on this section is to travel with a change of train, for example in Czechowice-Dziedzice.

Poznań-Vienna route

On the Bohumin-Vienna route, the train passes as many as 7 times a day:

• EC 101 Moravia between Katowice and Wien Hbf,

• EC 103 Danubius for Kraków Główny - Wien Hbf,

The journey time is approximately 3 hours and 7 minutes for daytime connections. For EuroNight (EN) trains, the time is extended to approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes.

The first train of the day is the EN 407 Chopin, which departs Bohumin before 2am. The last train of the day is EC 109 Sobieski, which starts this route before 7pm.

The Bohumin-Vienna route

The route is based on the EC 105 Polonia service between Warsaw East and Wien Hbf:

• Journey time: 3 hrs 7 mins

• Departure from Bohumin: 10:42

• Arrival in Vienna: 13:49

There are no direct trains to Vienna departing from the platforms in Gdańsk. However, you have the choice of several connections with a change at Wrocław Główny or Warsaw station.

Route Gdańsk Vienna

Train Gdańsk Vienna essential information:

• Departure from Gdańsk Główny: 23:47

• Arrival in Vienna: 11:49

There are two trains to be used on this route:

• First: IC 461 Baltic Express from Gdynia Główna to Prague

• Change place - Wrocław Główny station (arrival approx. 4:24)

• Second: EC 203 Danubius from Wrocław Główny to Vienna (departure from Wrocław at 6:29)

• Transfer time approx. 2 hrs 5 mins.

There are no direct trains to Vienna from the Prague platforms either. Instead, you can reach the Austrian capital by changing trains, for example at Přerov station (Czech Republic).

The Prague-Vienna route

Train Prague Vienna journey with a change of train:

• First: LEO Express from Prague to Bohumin

• Transfer point - Přerov station (arrival at approx. 11:30am)

• Second: EC 105 Polonia between Warsaw East and Wien Hbf (departure from Přerov station 11:49),

• Waiting time for interchange approx. 19 minutes.

On the Tarnów-Vienna route, the train runs once a day. The direct connection is served by the EC 107 Porta Moravica train between Przemyśl Główny and Graz Hbf. It covers the section Tarnów - Vienna in approximately 6 hours and 51 minutes.

The train departs from Tarnów station at 12:58, then heads to Cracow and on to Silesia towards Zory and Rybnik, all the way to the Czech border crossing of Chałupki. It also has several intermediate stations in the Czech Republic before reaching Austria.
