Our original campaign was quite popular, which far exceeded our expectations. In response to our customers' feedback, we are introducing a new option where you can support our campaign even more. This is the option of making a donation, in any amount, to our campaign. You can do this in two simple steps when booking train tickets on our website.
What does it look like? When you book a train ticket for the journey you are interested in, the entire purchase process remains unchanged. It is only when you choose to pay for your tickets that the "I want to support the tree planting campaign" check box appears in the panel, with a window right next to it for you to enter any amount of your choice.
Each month we will add up all the donations, including yours, and donate to the purchase of trees that will be planted in Poland as part of our ongoing collaboration with www.posadzimy.pl.
What if we fall short of the round sum to purchase a sapling? We are also committed to covering the shortfall up to the full amount so that every zloty donated goes to this worthy cause.
Plant your tree with us!
Your tree will be planted in spring or early autumn, depending on what time of year you make your donation. Posadzimy.co.uk organises two tree planting dates throughout the year to ensure the trees have the best possible conditions for growth and development.
What then happens to the trees? You will be able to visit them in the public woods, and the service will report on the locations of the trees planted as part of our initiative after planting.
What are the benefits?
Travelling by train is one of the most environmentally friendly forms of transport - a train passenger generates on average five times less carbon dioxide than a passenger in a car! And you can make your train journeys completely environmentally neutral. You're probably wondering how this is possible? Based on calculations based on statistics of the most popular Polish connections, a Polish rail passenger generates as much carbon dioxide per year during his or her travels as 2 trees can reduce.
