How does the Little Brothers of the Poor Association work?

The Association of the Little Brothers of the Poor is an organisation that has been successfully supporting seniors in Poland on many levels for years and offers something that seniors need most - their time and attention. The association brings together and coordinates the activities of almost 700 volunteers from all over Poland who regularly visit older people. This is not only an emotional support, but also an opportunity to establish valuable bonds, which the elderly are missing so much. The association focuses on proximity and integration, and restores its charges' active participation in social life by organising intimate meetings, trips and festive gatherings. Above all, it provides support in the most difficult of times; the Association runs and develops the Helpline, which enables seniors to talk to a psychologist.

little brothers of the poor is not only about voluntary work and direct support for senior citizens, it is also about research, the reports of which educate society and raise awareness of the problem of loneliness. We are all the more pleased to be able to make a small contribution to such an important social mission, which is to combat loneliness and marginalisation of the elderly.
