EIC 6110 Viadrina train – route and timetable
EIC 6110 Viadrina is an Express InterCity train operated by PKP Intercity, running from Wrocław Główny to Warszawa Wschodnia. The route goes via Leszno, Poznań Główny, Warszawa Zachodnia and Warszawa Centralna, with the entire journey taking over three hours.
This arrangement of stops means that Viadrina works well both for business travel between Wrocław and Poznań and for the longer journey all the way to the capital. PolishTrains allows you to buy a ticket for Viadrina without creating an account; you only need to provide the passenger’s details and choose a payment method.
Ticket prices on this route depend primarily on the selected train category, and the difference between the cheapest PolRegio option and the most expensive Express InterCity can be several times greater. Among passengers departing from Wrocław Główny, the largest group, 32 per cent, only buys a ticket 1-3 days before departure. August, in turn, is the month when sales from Wrocław Główny increase noticeably. If your travel plans change, you can return your Viadrina ticket online through PolishTrains without visiting a ticket office.
As an EIC-category train, Viadrina offers a higher standard than ordinary InterCity trains, which is appreciated by passengers travelling longer sections of the route. Before travelling with a bicycle, it is worth checking the availability of a bicycle space in the PolishTrains search engine, as EIC trains have a limited number of bicycle spaces.
