Trains IC KOPERNIK
Kopernik train – routes and services
Kopernik is an InterCity-category train operating daily between Lublin Główny and Bydgoszcz Główna in both directions. Two services run under this name, both operated to the IC standard. This connection links eastern and northern Poland with one direct train.
For passengers travelling on longer domestic routes, such a direct train can be more convenient than arranging a journey with changes, especially when they value a fixed departure time each day. PolishTrains shows the current Kopernik timetable together with seat availability for the selected day, so the journey can be planned in advance without checking several sources separately.
The ticket price depends primarily on the selected seat category – PolRegio is the cheapest, while IC Intercity is the most expensive, although the travel comfort is correspondingly higher. From Lublin Główny, the largest proportion of passengers, 42 per cent, buy tickets for travel up to three days before departure, and a clear increase in sales can be seen in August. If you want to be sure of getting a favourable fare, it is worth checking the offer in the PolishTrains search engine well in advance rather than waiting until the day of travel.
From Lublin Główny, an overwhelming majority of passengers, 91 per cent, choose IC Intercity trains, while only 9 per cent opt for PolRegio. As an IC train, Kopernik falls within this dominant category, which means greater travel comfort at a higher price than on regional trains. To avoid queues at the ticket office and have the ticket straight on your phone, it is convenient to buy it through PolishTrains and travel with the ticket in the app.
