Trains IC DOKER
Doker train - routes and services
Doker is an IC-category train running on the Katowice–Gdynia Główna route and in the opposite direction. The timetable has two services with this name, both running daily.
The route linking Silesia with the Coast is suitable for longer holiday and business journeys - the journey to Gdynia takes over five hours, so it is worth making sure that you have a seat. You can return a ticket for Doker online without visiting the ticket office, using your account on PolishTrains or your booking number if you bought it without creating an account.
The ticket price depends on the selected train category - PolRegio passengers travel at the lowest price, while Pendolino is the most expensive, and the difference between them can be several times greater. Most tickets from Katowice station are sold one to three days before departure. A considerable number of passengers buy them on the same day - PolishTrains then shows the current timetable and provides advance information about changes to the service.
IC Intercity trains dominate departures from Katowice station, with Pendolino and PolRegio also available, so choosing a category is often as much a matter of habit as of budget. If you are travelling with a dog, you can add the extra charge during purchase in accordance with the carrier’s price list, and buy a ticket with this note through PolishTrains together with the basic ticket.
