Train EC-EIC-41 – route and timetable
EC-EIC-41 is a PKP Intercity service running from Rzepina to Warszawy Wschodniej, calling at Świebodzin, Zbąszynek, Poznań Główny, Konin and Kutno. The entire route has nine stops, and the end-to-end journey takes over four hours. It is one of those services that connects the country’s western border with the capital without the need to change trains.
The route works well both for travellers making shorter journeys between Poznaniem and Konin or Kutno, and for those travelling along the entire length of the service. The formation is operated by PKP Intercity, so the standard of travel depends on the selected ticket category rather than the train number itself. You can buy an electronic ticket through PolishTrains without creating an account.
The ticket price on this route depends primarily on the selected train category: PolRegio passengers travel most cheaply, while those choosing Express InterCity pay the most, and the difference between these categories can be several times over. EIC trains dominate services towards Warsaw, accounting for nearly one-fifth of sales from Rzepin station – this is the option purchased most often, and you can check its price straight away in the PolishTrains search engine.
Most tickets from Rzepin station are sold shortly before departure: more than one-third of passengers buy them one to three days in advance, while a considerable proportion only decide on the day of travel. Sales peak in August, showing that this is a popular month for holiday travel from this station. If your plans change, you can rebook or refund your ticket online through PolishTrains, without visiting the ticket office.
