Trains IC BAŁTYK
Baltyk train – routes and services
Baltyk is an IC-category train that runs between Gdynia Główna and Poznań Główny in both directions, with two services each day. This connection links the coast with Wielkopolska without changing train category along the entire route.
The Gdynia–Poznań route works well for travellers going during the day or returning in the evening, as Baltyk runs regularly without seasonal breaks. Before your journey or on the day of departure, you can easily check the timetable and available seats in the PolishTrains search engine, without having to create an account.
The price of an IC ticket depends on the purchase date and the selected zone – from Gdynia, the IC Intercity category is the cheapest and EIP Pendolino the most expensive, with the difference between them sometimes being several times greater. Passengers departing from Gdynia most often buy tickets three days to one week before travelling, while sales from the station peak in August.
Besides Baltyk and other IC trains, you can also travel from Gdynia Główna by Pendolino. IC trains account for the largest share of departures from the station. If you are planning a journey on Baltyk, check the timetable in the PolishTrains (polishtrains.eu) search engine and select the appropriate service and train category there. You can buy the ticket immediately through the same service and, if necessary, return it online.
