Trains IC BALTAZAR
Baltazar train – routes and services
Baltazar is an IC-category train running between Kraków Główny and Bielsko-Biała Główna in both directions. Two services operate under this name, both every day, making this connection a regular feature of the timetable between Małopolska and Cieszyn Silesia. It connects a major voivodeship city with an important industrial centre in the region.
The route works well both for commuters and occasional travellers, as the IC category offers comfort without having to pay extra for the most expensive tickets. You can check the Baltazar timetable for the upcoming weekend in the PolishTrains search engine by entering the starting station and travel date.
The ticket price depends on how many days before departure you buy it and which train category you choose. Most passengers departing from Kraków Główny buy tickets shortly in advance, one or two days before travelling. A clear increase in interest can be seen in August, when holiday traffic is at its highest. PolishTrains shows that, apart from IC, the most frequently chosen option from the starting station is EIP Pendolino, which covers the route faster but costs several times more.
You can pay for a Baltazar ticket quickly via BLIK, without going through additional payment forms. You can buy tickets without creating an account on PolishTrains by entering only the station, travel date and time. You will receive the confirmation by SMS or in the app.
