Question 1

How can I check which platform the train departs from?

Accepted Answer

Read the platform information from the departure board at the station, as PolishTrains does not display platform numbers. On the PolishTrains website, however, you can check the details of the selected journey.

Question 2

What discounts are available to people with a disability (moderate degree)?

Accepted Answer

A certificate confirming a moderate degree of disability alone does not determine a specific discount, as the legal basis for the entitlement is relevant. On PolishTrains, you can select the appropriate discount when purchasing if it applies to the journey in question.

Question 3

What document should I show on the train to use a discount?

Accepted Answer

On the train, you must show a document confirming entitlement to the discount applied, together with the ticket. You can keep a ticket bought through PolishTrains on your phone, but the document entitling you to the discount must be presented separately.

Question 4

Who can use the 50% discount on Intercity trains?

Accepted Answer

Only people belonging to the groups specified in the regulations and holding the required document can use the discount. On PolishTrains, you can select the appropriate discount when purchasing if you meet the carrier’s conditions.

Question 5

Where can you go by train for a weekend from Warsaw?

Accepted Answer

For a short trip from Warsaw, you could consider Piaseczno as a suburban destination. Through PolishTrains, you can choose a journey between Warszawa Centralna and Piaseczno.

Question 6

Can you choose a specific seat on the train?

Accepted Answer

The option to select a specific seat depends on the type of train and the reservation rules applicable to the carrier. On PolishTrains, you can choose the service and train category, while the available reservation conditions are shown during purchase.
