You may come across many cheap flights to Milan, Bologna or Rome while browsing the Internet that does not match your destination. At the airport you may rent a car to continue your journey across a country. However, there are some who wish to sightsee Italy and renting a car is not the choice. Then, you may take your chance on the Italian railway.

The Frecciarossa trains

The fastest and the most comfortable trains are the Frecciarossa trains (that is the red arrow). The ETR500 services – beautifully designed – run as fast as 260 km/h. The Rome – Milan journey takes 3 hours and 25 minutes.

The Frecciarossa cars are extremely well soundproofed and are air-conditioned. They are equipped with the high quality chairs similar to those installed on planes. Passengers may use the power supply sockets and the wireless Internet (it is possible to connect a laptop). Every passenger boarding the train receives a free drink and the morning press. The trains are equipped with displays informing on the current train speed and the next station. Women and men have access to seperate toilets! A passenger may use special business rooms and visit the on-train restaurant. There are also special rooms for the luggage in the vestibules in the cars. The cleaning staff looks after the cars to keep them clean all the time. The Frecciarossa train consists of 4 first class cars and 6 second class cars. The fast trains in Italy connects, among others: Naples, Rome, Florence, Milan, Turin, Bologna, and Salerno.

Cheaper with Closest - valid on Intercity and TLK trains
To take advantage of the discount, 2 to 6 people should be present during the trip. The "Cheaper with Family" offer can be combined with 33%, 37%, 51%, 78%, 95% or 100% discounts.
Family Ticket - valid on EIP (Pendolino) and EIC trains
