The capital of Czech Republic located on the Vltava River is a place where you may see the incredible monuments representing all major European architecture styles. The gothic Charles Bridge, St. Vitus Cathedral, the greatest in Europe castle complex or Prague Hradczany - these are major city symbols. Descending the castle hill through the picturesque streets of the bailey you may adore the beautiful panorama of the Old Town with the winding Vltava below. When strolling it is a must to visit the Old Town Market with the Old Town Hall, where there is the Prague astronomical clock from 1440 mounted onto one of the walls. It had been acclaimed a world wonder in the Middle Ages already. In Prague there is also the oldest University in this part of Europe - founded in 1348 by Prague Carolinium. The other well known symbol of Prague, situated in front of the National Museum, is the Křižíkova Fountain, also called the Dancing Fountain. The light and water play accompanied by the classical music from the famous composers leave the unforgettable impression. The fountain was erected in 1891.
